Do You Ride?
A small group of Townspeople have expressed an interest in forming
a local motorcycle touring group. Selectboard member Jim Huber and Head Librarian Adam Novitt have agreed to oversee the development and start up of such a group.
The first riders’ meeting and accompanying trip is scheduled for
Sunday, July 13th at 1:00 PM, weather permitting.

Anyone interested in participating should meet at the lower Library parking lot. Our first trip will be a simple ride looping around the Quabbin Reservoir with stops for a photo or two, and a stop at the Petersham General Store for a lunch/snack break. The total estimated ride time is two hours. Rain date is July 20th at the same time and location. No open pipes, please.

PELHAM ENERGY COMMITTEE
The Selectboard has decided to initiate an Energy Usage and Resource Committee (EUR) for the purpose of performing energy evaluations in our major town buildings. This committee will assess fuel and electrical consumption for taxpayer-funded buildings, and make recommendations on appropriate measures to allow for future needs.

The EUR committee will include a Selectboard member, the head librarian, the head of building maintenance and four community members chosen by the Selectboard based upon their interest and experience.

The committee will address energy management and conservation issues, the viability of alternative types of fuels and power generation systems available.

If you are interested in joining, please stop by the Rhodes building or email Kim Leahey at townofpelham@comcast.net with a brief letter outlining your background and interest.

Thank you!
