Did you know that Pelham now has a Community Garden???

Our Community Garden Committee of 7 people have been meeting, designing, creating and working hard this past year to prepare the garden site for a 2017 planting. The site is located at the Buffam Falls Conservation area off of Meetinghouse Road. Several local businesses have donated needed items to our effort and there is a kiosk with information about its creation.

In addition to the common gardening space, a large round pollinator garden for bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects is in the early stages of development.

The planting area has been prepared with a cover crop of buckwheat, which was chopped down this past fall to enrich the soil through the winter, along with an application of lime.

Here are the necessary forms for your convenience:

For updates about the garden and registration information for the 2017 Spring planting contact pelhamn2n@gmail.com. Registration forms will also be available at the Pelham Library Circulation Desk.

We are thrilled to be offering this to the community and we hope that you take advantage of this chance to garden together in a new community space!

Think spring!

Peace. Abbie, Cyd, Roger, Wendi, Richard, Heidi, Sue

PELHAM HISTORICAL SOCIETYPROGRAM CALENDAR 2017

The Board of Selectmen keeps a file of citizens who are interested in serving on various boards and committees in the Town.  This file is used by Board Chairmen seeking new members, and by the appointing authority to fill vacancies.

If you are interested in serving the Town, please complete the Citizen Interest Sheet and submit it to the Selectmen's office in the Rhodes Building, 351 Amherst Road, along with a brief outline of your experience and why you are interested in serving.

The Town of Pelham relies greatly on the efforts of volunteers.  The Selectmen appreciate those efforts and welcome your interest.  For more information, please call 253-7129 or send e-mail to townofpelham@comcast.net
