Chapter 69 - Meetings

§ 69-1. Place.

Annual and Special Town Meetings shall be held at a place within the town designated by the Selectmen in the warrant therefor, provided that at least one Special Town Meeting shall be called and held annually at the Town Hall.

§ 69-2. Posting of warrant. [Amended 5-3-1980 ATM, Art. 27]

The warrant for every Town Meeting shall be posted as required by law at the following places in the town: the bulletin board at the Fire Station and the bulletin board at the Rhodes Building.

§ 69-3. Distribution of articles to Board of Selectmen. [Amended 5-3-1980 ATM, Art. 26]

All articles for Annual Town Meeting shall be placed in the hands of the Board of Selectmen not later than 40 days before the date of the Annual Town Meeting.

§ 69-4. Meeting opening time.

The opening time of an Annual Town Meeting shall be a time not earlier than 8:30 a.m. nor later than 10:00 a.m. as determined by the Board of Selectmen.
