Notice: All poll workers must attend one training session. Please call the Town Clerk to schedule your training. I am trying to group a few people together to have less sessions. If you think you would like to be a poll worker, feel free to call.
The UPDATES for the Code of Pelham are now available. If you have a copy or two of the Code of Pelham, please contact me asap so I can correctly update it with the latest changes.
The second notice of the Town census has been mailed. Please make sure you make any corrections, then sign it and send it back as soon as possible. If you did not receive a copy of census please call my office so we can remedy the situation.
BY STATE LAW YOU CAN BE MADE INACTIVE AND REMOVED FROM THE VOTER LIST BY NOT RESPONDING TO CENSUS.

State Election for SENATOR IN CONGRESS will be JUNEl 25, 2013 7 AM - 8 PM at the Ramsdell Room at the Library Complex. Any questions please call the Town Clerks Office.

All dogs are required to be licensed by March 31, 20123
The new State Law has a fine for not licensing Dogs of $50.00 and this is not negotiable. There are no more $10.00 and $25.00 fees. They are all $50.00.
YOU MUST
SUPPLY A CURRENT RABIES CERTIFICATE;
Fees for dog licenses are $3.00 for spayed or neutered
dogs and $6.00 male or female dogs.
To license your dog by mail you must have a current rabies cert and spay/neuter cert on file or include a copy of a rabies certificate and spay or neuter certificate and the appropriate fee(s)and send to: Town Clerk, 351 Amherst Road, Pelham, MA 01002.You can also have your Vet fax it to 413-256-1061 or mail a copy. Licenses and tags can be mailed to you. In order to assist with data transfer please let your clerk know if you no longer have one of your previously owned/licensed dogs. Thanks. Sorry, Kennel licenses must still be done in office You can also send a (SASE) a self-addressed, stamped envelope, *please do not forget it helps if you are able to send your return envelope with postage attached (Note $.20 extra postage is required for more than one dog tag as they do not go through the postal machines and need to be handled separately. )
Town Clerk Kathy Martell will have office hours on Friday from 10:30 am- 1:30 pm and by appointment on other days. At that time,Kathy is able to do Voter Registration, Dog Licensing, Vital Records maintenance and Provide Certified Copies of Vital Records.
The Town Clerk WILL NOT be issuing 2013Hunting and Fishing Licenses. You can obtain one on line at mass.gov fish/hunt web site If you need assistance, please see me.
REMINDERS
Street lists for 2011 are still available from the Town Clerk. The cost is $5.00.
New 2012 Street lists will be sent to printer soon.

.The office of Town Clerk is an elected position. The Town Clerk serves as the Public Information and Legislative Administrator, Chief Election Officer, and Local Registrar of Vital Records and Statistics. This is a multifaceted administrative position; The Town Clerk is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that the appropriate process, notification and procedure is adhered to in the making of legislative policy by the town, and of managing public access to this information.
These responsibilities are two-tiered: first are those outlined in 73 chapters and 451 sections of the Massachusetts General Laws, and the second are dictated by the unique Bylaws of the town.
The many duties of the Town Clerk include conducting the Annual Street List, Dog Licensing, Fish & Game Licensing, Elections, and Vital Records.
