Did you know that Pelham has a Community Garden?
Our Community Garden Committee of five people have been meeting, designing, creating and working hard this past year to prepare the garden site for the upcoming planting season. The site is located at the Buffam Falls Conservation area off of Meetinghouse Road. Several local businesses have donated needed items to our effort and there is a kiosk with information about its creation.
In addition to the common gardening space, a large round pollinator garden for bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects is in the early stages of development.
The planting area has been prepared with a cover crop of buckwheat, which was chopped down this past fall to enrich the soil through the winter, along with an application of lime. On the left side of this page there are links to the necessary forms for your convenience:
For updates about the garden and registration information for the Spring planting contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration forms will also be available at the Pelham Library Circulation Desk. We are thrilled to be offering this to the community and we hope that you take advantage of this chance to garden together in a new community space!
Peace. Abbie, Cyd, Wendi, Sue, Joel
