Housing Committee

The Housing Committee was established by the Pelham Board of Selectmen in 2015.  The mission of the Pelham Housing Committee (PHC) is to find ways to increase the diversity, availability, and affordability of housing options in Pelham, particularly for young families and seniors. The Committee’s objectives are to further explore and identify ways these goals can be achieved.

The Housing Committee is currently working closely with a not-for-profit developer, Home City Development Corp., which has acquired 18 Amherst Road and the HRD Press at 20 Amherst Road with intentions to construct a building with one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. It is expected that the project will be completed in about 4 years. Check the meeting calendar for meeting postings which will include more informational sessions and chances for public comment related to this affordable housing project.

The Committee is continuing to explore opportunities and pursue resources that will help create and maintain more affordable housing opportunities in Pelham.
