Lock Boxes Available to Pelham Seniors

Lock Boxes Available to Pelham Seniors

A lock box is a small secure box with a combination that holds your house key. The location and combination will be on file with the Pelham Police Department and the Dispatch Center.

When an emergency call comes in, the dispatcher will inform the responding officer or paramedic of the lock box location and combination via a secure format. This allows the officer quick entry to offer assistance.

A collaboration among the Hampshire County Sheriff’s Office, the Pelham Police Department, and the Pelham Council on Aging is behind this program. A Deputy Sheriff and Pelham’s Chief of Police will install the boxes free of charge.

If you would like to request a lock box, contact Sally Kaufmann, Pelham CoA Outreach Worker, (413) 530-3759.
